One week until a huge weekend of fun! We’ll have an amazing juggler at the HopStop, delicious cookies and crafts at the Cookie Sale and Holiday Bazaar, and a very special pop up benefit concert by Bassel and the Supernaturals.

Holiday Choir (and Pick up Choir)

We are looking for community members (adult and youth) who would like to join our holiday choir. We will have performances at the Broad Street Park Lighting, a local carol singing around town, our community sing along “Sing! A Joyful Christmas”,  and the Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at Union Church. Participation is not required at all events to join the group. WCCMA is Hannaford’s Blue Bag cause for November!

We are thrilled to announce that WCCMA has been selected to be a part of the Hannaford Cause Bag program, which is specially designed to support local nonprofits like us.

For every Hannaford Helps reusable bag purchased at the Hannaford located in Claremont, NH during the month of November, $1 is donated to our cause in order to help us fulfill our mission.

Cookie Sale, Holiday Bazaar, and Chowder Luncheon

November 18, 2017 @ 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Union Episcopal Church

At Union Church Hall, 133 Old Church Road, Claremont, NH Nov 18th 10am – 2pm and Nov 19th, 11am-2pm Chowder Luncheon served 11am-2pm The Holiday Bazaar features a variety of gingerbread houses, baked goods, crafts, berry bowls, kitchen items, knit items, toys, vendors, and attic treasures. We’ll have a fun assortment of homemade ornaments and crafts for sale. We’ll even have a table where you can make your own ornament! Luncheon includes homemade fish and corn chowder, assorted sandwiches, and delicious desserts. Baked goods will be for sale to benefit WCCMA, other fundraising activities benefit Union Church. HopStop: Jason Tardy, juggler (FREE)

November 18, 2017 @ 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at CSB Community Center: City of Claremont

You will be on the edge of your seat (or the HopStop rug) when Jason takes the stage in this wild ride of juggling and comedy. Accompanied by upbeat recorded music, Jason will juggle and manipulate anything and everything: toilet plungers, yoga balls, ladders, even himself. Amazing stunts done with no fear and a lot of practice will have jaws on the floor. Jason may need an assist from audience members during the performance.

Funk and Lunch Benefit with Bassel and the Supernaturals

November 19, 2017 @ 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Union Episcopal Church

A special acoustic performance by Chicago’s Bassel and the Supernaturals, and benefit for WCCMA. Your ticket includes an exclusive ticket to the event and lunch after the concert. The lunch includes a cup of chowder (fish or corn), sandwich (tuna, ham, or egg), and choice of dessert. WCCMA Members get a $5 discount off the general admission (email [email protected] to reserve your discount ticket). Tickets at the door are $25. Please RSVP in advance, we have a minimum required attendance to offer this event. _____________ Chicago’s popular indie-funk band and SXSW performer returns with a 7 piece band for a special Sunday morning benefit concert of soul in Claremont. Bassel & The Supernaturals is an eclectic ensemble based in Chicago, IL led by the soulful vocals of Syrian-American songwriter Bassel Almadani. Their music combines soul, jazz, and funk with captivating lyrics about love, loss, corporate life, and a war in Syria that has directly affected Bassel’s family along with over 10,000,000 others. In addition to their invigorating live performances across the country, Bassel offers humanitarian seminars in regards to Syria and current issues facing Arabs & Muslims in the US.

The bustling holiday season has returned, and there’s a full calendar of events just waiting for you!

Chowder Luncheon served 11am-2pm

The Holiday Bazaar features a variety of gingerbread houses, baked goods, crafts, berry bowls, kitchen items, knit items, toys, vendors, and attic treasures. Luncheon includes homemade fish and corn chowder, assorted sandwiches, and delicious desserts.This year’s fantastic gingerbread house display will feature decorated houses for sale in a variety of sizes.

Also, West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts will be holding their Annual Baking Competition, a community celebration of deliciousness! Baked goods will be for sale, and for $2 you can sample all the entries and vote for the winner. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Join us for this delightful holiday tradition filled with gingerbread, candy, and fun! Houses and candy are provided, $12 per house (when registered in advance) or $15 for walk-ins. Make sure to reserve your house by emailing [email protected] (best), or calling 802-738-0678 (leave a message with you name, ph #, and number of houses you would like) to guarantee a spot, last year we sold out! Discounts available upon request for families purchasing 2 or more houses. This event is open to all, and is held at Union Church Hall, 133 Old Church Rd, Claremont, NH. (Please note that this is a community event hosted by our friends at Union Church. We wanted to share this with you because it’s such a fun, creative event, and proceeds help to support our facility and their generous financial contribution to WCCMA).

Enjoy Holiday and Christmas favorites with some dixie twists, brass, and a side of banjo. Plus of course some Dixieland tunes! Local favorites the Firehouse Six Dixieland Band will charm you with their musical wit and variety. The decorations will be hung, making this a unique and festive event. Bring your voice for favorite sacred and secular holiday music with local musicians Kirsten Becker, piano; Angela Biggs, Soprano; and Melissa Richmond, flute. From mangers and wise men, to nutcrackers and dancing reindeer. Special guests and cookies will make this an event to remember. Admission is by freewill donation, and the audience contribution will be the compensation for the performers at this event. Hosted by the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts.
