WCCMA’s Executive Director to also lead the Claremont Chamber

You may have heard around town that our Executive Director Melissa Richmond has been named as the new Executive Director at the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce. Great you say, but what about WCCMA? Have no fear, she will be continuing in her capacity as Director of WCCMA, she will just be making lots of new friends as well. She is currently working on lots of great WCCMA programs for 2013 and 2014, so keep an eye on us here.

Trena Bolden Fields as Frances Ellen Watkins Harper

Next Tuesday we will be offering a special performance of a one woman show by actress Trena Bolden Fields called Daring to Think, Move and Speak. Recognized as a moving and inspiring show; Trena performs as 5 women who were important to the civil rights movement. Ages from middle school through adult can appreciate the message of their journey to empower themselves to make a change.

Whether you are interested in the civil rights movement, the human spirit, or observing the transition of an outstanding actress, this is the show for you.
