2nd Annual Cookie Walk and Bakers’ Competition

Do you bake the best cookie in the Claremont area? Are you the best brownie maker in the county? Is your pie the sweetest on block? Or do you just enjoy sweet treats? We will be hosting a competition for bakers from amateur to profession to find the most outstanding goodies that our community has to offer. Titles will be declared, prizes won, treats will be devoured, and cookies will be available to sample and buy. This is a great way to buy delicious homemade treats for your family, and even gifts for friends and co-workers.

Cookie Walk (aka bake sale) begins at 1:00pm, Winners will be announced at 2:30pm
Baked goods will be available to sample and purchase. After sampling the entries you will be able to cast your vote for your favorite entry in both categories.

Prices: Small containers: $2.50
Medium containers: $6.00
Large containers: $12/lb (approx .50 per cookie)

Bakers who do not wish to compete are welcome to donate goodies for this fundraiser to benefit our arts programs.

Competition information: To sign up as a competitor or to donate cookies, email [email protected] (best option) or call 802.738.0022. Competitors pay a small fee to enter, and can win great prizes.

Who should sign up?: Anyone who enjoys baking and would like the chance to win prizes!

Requirements: $5 entry fee and donation of baked goods. For cookies: 3 dozen small sized cookies; for cakes: one medium or larger sized cake; for pies: 2 pies

Recipes must be of the “from scratch” variety, and while boxed mixes may be a part of the recipe, it cannot make up the majority of the entry.

Drop off times for goodies is 10:30 am on the day of the event. Winners will be announced at 2:30pm and prizes awarded.

Professional Category:

Restaurants, bakeries, and other professional bakers are invited to showcase their talents. A donation of a dessert item created by your establishment will compete for the title of “Claremont’s Best Dessert.” Instead of the $5 entry fee we instead ask for a giftcard for your establishment that will be awarded as a prize at the competition.
