Upcoming music in Claremont

June in Claremont will offer some fun music, and none of it requires a big ticket price! This Thursday June 13th accordian play Walter Gomez will perform at the Claremont Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market, and the following week on June 20th Harper Angela Biggs will perform and lead harp demonstrations. The Claremont Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market is an excellent way to take in the work of local artists (the Claremont Arts Market brings juried artists), buy local produce and food (both arts of their own!), and enjoy music in the heart of Claremont’s Broad Street Park.

The last Wednesday in June we will also reprise the Beginner Harp Workshop. This popular workshop offers a hands on opportunity to explore the harp. Music experience is not required, and the instruments will be provided.

Also don’t forget to stop by the WCCMA website, where you can find out all about the upcoming Summer Concert Series performances!

Wine and Cheese for the Arts tomorrow, 4pm cut off for early tickets

Tomorrow’s the day! Between 5pm and 7pm we invite you to stop by and celebrate the Grand Opening of the Naughty Vine (18 Opera House Sq, the Moody building) with a benefit for the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts. You’ll be able sample 4 wines (2 white, 2 reds), a variety of cheeses, appetizers, art by local artists, and music by harper Angela Biggs (at 5:30 and 6:30). You may even have the chance to meet some of the artists, and you’ll also be able to pick up your 2013 Summer Concert Series Schedule!

You can pre-purchase tickets until 4pm tomorrow at the Naughty Vine for $15ea or $25 a pair. After 4pm tickets are $20 each (which is still a fantastic bargain!) Wine-free tickets are available for $10.

Find full info by clicking HERE.

We’ll see you there!

Delight your tongue, eyes, and ears, it’s RSVP time!

We’re getting closer to the Wine and Cheese for the Arts event, so don’t forget to RSVP here or email us so we can plan the food accordingly! You’ll be able to get a great deal if you buy in advance ($15/ea or $25/pair), or you can be extra generous and buy at the door for $20 each. Don’t want wine? Wine-less tickets will be available for $10. You’re welcome to come by any time between 5:00pm and 7:00pm, the wine and food will be available at any time, local art by Sculptor Ernest Montenegro and others will be on display, and harper Angela Biggs will be performing at intervals throughout the evening. There’s even a rumor that some of the music will include a little blues harp, and if the crowd demands it even some flute and harp.

Please help us spread the word, even if you can’t come! All the profits go to WCCMA programs, that includes youth programs, the Summer Concert Series, visual arts programs, and our dreams of ultimately acquiring a top notch concert piano.
