Kick off the Summer with with the Arts this weekend!

This weekend is a busy one for us, and we hope to see you for some fantastic events!

Due to circumstances beyond our control the Friday June 24th violin concert by Alessandro Cazzato at WCCMA is cancelled. Please join us for our next performance on July 9th at 7pm for Qais Essar, rabab, and Amit Kavthekar, tabla, for their contemporary approach to the classical music of Afghanistan, and a rare opportunity to experience these fascinating instruments.

A tradition for over 60 years. Come enjoy homemade Norwegian meatballs from our secret recipe, and fresh strawberry shortcake with NH strawberries. The meal is served family style, and also includes homemade mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, beets, and coleslaw. Coffee, tea, milk, and other beverages are served. Orders for take out meals are welcome. Three seatings are available: 5PM, 5:45PM, 6:30PM

Sunday: WCCMA’s Youth Voices student ensemble performs at the Unveiling of the Standing Lincoln at St. Gaudens

Saint Gaudens Historical Site in Cornish has a wonderful afternoon of activities and an unveiling of the new 12 foot Lincoln Statue! The ceremony begins at 2pm (some activities begin earlier). For more information visit: https://www.nps.gov/saga/learn/news/Lincoln.htm

WCCMA is thrilled to be a part of this celebration, and has gathered a wonderful ensemble of young singers and instrumentalists to perform “America the Beautiful” in honor of the occasion. Directed by Melissa Richmond, with professional support from vocalist Angela Biggs, and accompanist Chris Cheon, the ensemble includes 8 students from across the region. Season of Thanks: Happy Holidays!

WCCMA is passionate about celebrating a variety of cultures and traditions. This year we were able to bring back favorite and new programs to help the community get in the holiday spirit. As you celebrate this season, all of us here at WCCMA are wishing you Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.

They visited Pathway's participants during their lunch at Trinity Church, the Post Office, Revolution Cantina, outside Violet's Bookstore, and Stone Arch Bakery. Students included Riley McFarland, Mariauna King, and Hayley Valdivia. Faculty included Angela Biggs, Chris Cheon, and Melissa Richmond
