Bassel and the Supernaturals – Blues and Funk from Chicago

28805431550_0942413620Chicago’s popular indie-funk band and SXSW performer brings a 7 piece band for a night of soul in Claremont. Bassel & The Supernaturals is an eclectic ensemble based in Chicago, IL led by the soulful vocals of Syrian-American songwriter Bassel Almadani. Their music combines soul, jazz, and funk with captivating lyrics about love, loss, corporate life, and a war in Syria that has directly affected Bassel’s family along with over 10,000,000 others. In addition to their invigorating live performances across the country, Bassel offers humanitarian seminars in regards to Syria and current issues facing Arabs & Muslims in the US.

 

Jewelry Basics: Learn to make bracelets and earrings

beads-1154227_1920Join us for this how-to workshop with Erika Konkel that will teach you to make a bracelet and earrings. Basic supplies are included in the registration fee, and participants are welcome to bring their own beads. Family discounts are available, as are tuition waivers (upon request).

Sets of jewelry making tools will be available for sale upon request for those who would like to take them home. Tools will be provided during the class time.

6th Annual Artisan Fair


img_3670Join us for the exciting 6th Annual Local Artisan Fair, a part of NH Open Doors. This year our event will again be held at the CSB Community Center, and will feature artists and artisans of all sorts, music, an auction, and more! Food will also be available at this event, including Korean BBQ, and Norwegian Meatballs! Special demonstrations can be found throughout the weekend, and including performances by Harper Angela Biggs. With thanks to the Claremont Parks and Recreation Dept for their support of this event.

Saturday: 10:30am – 2pm
Sunday: 11am – 2pm
