Surprise yourself with this live looping session.

Are you ready for an eclectic mix of folk, pop, rhythm & rock, with a little blues, reggae fusion and soul? Vermont born, Boston singer songwriter Kali Stoddard-Imari does just that with his guitar: every song is created right in front of the audience, molding a one of a kind experience that will have everyone dancing.

The up and coming looping artist has opened for acts like Adam Ezra Group, The Halluci Nation, Taj Mahal, Martin Sexton, Shawn Colvin, Marc Cohn and Jefferson Starship.

The performance will be held at Union Church.

The Claremont event is co-presented by the Hopkins Center and the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts.
The Summer Concert Series is funded by a grant from the Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation.

Percussionist Mariana Ramirez will take us on a journey through the “Rhythms of the Earth.” The in this performance the audience will embark on a journey to both ancient and modern cultures demonstrating how our daily experiences are represented in music through time and space. This unique journey unique will explore the pyramids of Teotihuacan, a river of crystalline waters in Morelos, Mexico, and the criss-crossing subways of New York City, while listening to contemporary music with electronic sounds and acoustic instruments. Music will include “Pieces of Wood” by Steve Reich, where you will be surrounded by the majestic pyramids, listening to music the Aztecs might have played in their ceremonies; during your visit to New York City, you will hear “Rancho Jubilee,” a piece for three cajones that mixes rhythms and tempo changes, reflecting the city’s cultural diversity.

Registration is required for concert link and meet and greet access. Join us after the concert for a Meet and Greet with the artist.

This concert will be presented in Augmented Reality (360 degree performances sphere viewed on your mobile device) or through YouTube. The concert will be available to watch and re-watch for 2 days.

Originally hailing from New York City, DJ Sean: Livemixkings has kept the beats bumping at our Thursday Night Live parties and boasts 15 years of music event organizing under his belt. The professional DJ and MC will be spinning his signature mixes of the hottest songs to get your summer evenings started.
