_________________

Traverse the deeply rooted traditions of the season, especially Harvest, Hallowe’en, Samhain, and Day of the Dead/All Souls Day, with this multidisciplinary presentation. Through music, history, and story we will move through sites indoors and outdoors, with a Dance Macabre in the cemetery, a traditional Celtic tune by the fire, a character-filled tango, and Bach by candlelight in the church. Performer Melissa Richmond will present works composed and arranged for solo flute, accompanied by stories and history about these traditions. Music by Saint-Saën, Doppler, Debussy, CPE Bach, Piazzola and more. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for questions, treats, a warm drink, and a traditional Hallowe’en activity or two. Costumes are welcome.

This event is funded in part by the NH State Council on the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program.

In the event of inclement weather all parts of the show will be moved indoors. Fire pit and outdoor heater will be used if temperature outdoors is chilly – dress for the outdoors temperature.

Reservations in advance are appreciated so we can plan for treats and seats for all those planning to attend. Tickets are by sliding scale donation, feel free to register for free in advance and make a contribution at the door for those able.
