Karim Nagi is a true crossover artist uniting the Arab tradition with the global contemporary world as an Egyptian immigrant in the USA.

Karim Nagi is a true crossover artist uniting the Arab tradition with the global contemporary world as an Egyptian immigrant in the USA. He has released fourteen albums, ranging from traditional Arab music to fusion and electronica, and has authored instructional videos for Arab percussive instruments and Arab dance styles. As a dance and drum teacher, Nagi has taught in dozens of festivals in the United States, Asia, Europe and Cairo, as well as most major Arab Culture festivals in the USA. He is also a public speaker with a TEDx talk.

Autumnal Traditions and Dia de Muertos with the Villalobos Brothers

Our annual celebration of traditions of the fall with special guests the Villalobos Brothers – a festive honoring of our ancestors!

Join us for this festive family annual tradition with candles, stories, music, and afrenda Begun in 2022 as a celebration of All Hallows and fall folk traditions, we are pleased to have our friends the Villalobos Brothers return again this year bringing their own music and traditions of Dia de Muertos as the centerpiece of this performance. Costumes are welcome. Audiences are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early so they can add a photo to the ofrenda (we’ll have some frames to borrow).

Join us earlier in the day at 2 pm for a Family-friendly workshop making masks and hearing more music with the Villalobos Brother.

Masking Making and Music for Dia de Muertos with the Villalobos Brothers

Join us for this festive family workshop that has become an annual tradition! Decorate your own mask and listen to music for Dia de Muertos with the Villalobos Brothers. There’s very limited space for this family-friendly event, so advanced registration is encouraged.

Suggested donation sliding scale: $5 – 45 (pay what you can)

Then join us at 6:30pm with your mask and/or costumes for a performance with a festive altar and candles .
