His love for the Saraswathi Veena has taken him to renowned venues around the world, where he has captivated audiences with his soulful performances. From an early age, music was a cornerstone of his identity, nurtured by a family with a deep affinity to culture and arts. Balu’s mother was a Veena practitioner and took great interest in nurturing this passion in Balu.

Musician Melissa Richmond presents the ancient Tibetan Singing Bowls as a foundation for exploring the depth of music and how it heals and inspires us on our deepest levels. Going beyond the contemporary “sound bath” concept, Richmond dives into the roots of the tradition to find sacred meeting points with culture bearers from around the world. Aside from being an experienced musician, arts educator, and nonprofit executive, Richmond is a certified sound healer, reiki master, and wellness consultant.
