Visual Vibrations

Visual Vibrations is a project presented in 2014 for the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts, and offered a display of artwork donated by local artists and auctioned on Nov. 9th 2013 at the Claremont Auction Gala.

Artist and educator Amanda J. Sisk is currently serving a second season as the Sculptor-in-Residence at Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site. She studied on scholarships at the Herron School of Art, Indiana University-Bloomington, and The Florence Academy of Art. Her work often contains an element of visual word play and dranges from portraiture to explorations of duality and the beauty to be found in the quiet traces of things.

Erik Evensen is an award-winning designer, illustrator, graphic novelist, and educator. He is the author/illustrator of Gods of Asgard, The Beast of Wolfe’s Bay, and the illustrational coauthor of Super-powered Word Study. His work has been called “innovative and groundbreaking” by Graphic Novel Reporter, “a thrill” by Ain’t It Cool News, and “literate and entertaining” by Geeks of Doom. A Claremont native, Erik is a 1997 graduate of Stevens High School, where he worked with John Bennett. He studied fine art at the University of New Hampshire and Boston’s School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and holds an MFA in Design from Ohio State University. He is presently an Assistant Professor in the School of Art & Design at the University of Wisconsin–Stout. He lives near Minneapolis with his wife, musician Erika Svanoe.
