Beginner Harp Workshop
August 28th, 2013
7pm and 7:45pm (2 Sessions)
To register: email@example.com
Join us for an opportunity to try out the harp, participate in a group lesson, and discover just how fun and easy it can be. Instructor Angela Biggs (soprano and harper) performs and teaches in Claremont and the wider area. In this class you will be able to get a basic introduction, as well as having the option of continuing on through private instruction, or with group workshops through WCCMA. If you decide to continue with the harp Angela will teach you to find your way around the harp, how to read music, harp hand position, basic techniques such as cross-overs and cross-unders, fundamental building blocks like intervals and arpeggios, harmonics and other fun effects. Harps will be provided, but if you have a harp you are welcome to bring it.
RSVPs are required by August 26th, space is limited, but additional sessions will be added if demand is sufficient. Email firstname.lastname@example.org (prefered) or ph. 802.738.0022. If you have done a beginner workshop in the past, let us know, and we’ll do our best to put you in the next step up group. Admission is by donation. For more info: wcc-ma.org
