The West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts is pleased to announce the winners of the 5th Annual Baking Competition. In First Place is Rachel Minsinger with her Mint Chocolate Rice Krispy Treats, and tied for Second Place were Jeremy Biggs, with his Peppermint Chocolate Brownie, and Bev Foster with her Salted Caramel Cookies. An honorable mention goes to the ladies of the Claremont’s First United Methodist Church for their submission of Apple Oatmeal Cookies. It was a very close competition with all the cookies getting votes as favorites, and with a record 10 entries this year. Thank you to all the competitors for their delicious submissions and donations to the cookie sale, and thank you to all the voters who braved the trial of testing samples of all 10 cookies!  Proceeds from voting donations and the sale of items benefit WCCMA’s community programs, including the Youth Arts Enrichment Initiative that helps give all local children access to arts and music education, regardless of financial situation.
