Summer Concert Series’ 8th Season Schedule announced!

The West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts is pleased to announce the full 2015 Season of the Summer Series at Union Church in Claremont, our 8th Season! This year offers an exciting variety of professional musicians, including returning favorites and new performers to the series. All concerts are open to the public with no required admission, but donations are encouraged to support the series. The series is held at Union Church located at 133 Old Church Rd in Claremont.

Friday, July 24th, 6:30pm
Outside concert – bring a chair or blanket; rain location inside church
Performed on antique instruments and authentic music scores; an entertaining auditory living-history experience often to a sold-out crowd.

Food will be available to purchase starting at 5:30, and will be available through the concert if weather is good.

Sunday, August 9th, 3:00pm
Trios, Quintets, and a Micro-orchestra perform works by Azmeh, Lezcano, Mozart, Paganini, and more! Featuring grammy nominated guitarist Jose Lezcano, local flautist Melissa Richmond, and principal violinist of the Walt Disney Orchestra Lisa Ferrigno.

 

Multicultural Buffet Dinner
Saturday, August 15th, 5:30 – 6:45pm
Homemade food from cultures around the world, including Indian, Lebanese, Italian, Korean, American, Mexican, and more. Served buffet style. Adults $10, students $5

Internationally renowned performers and composers Kinan Azmeh, clarinet, and Dinuk Wijeratne, piano, return to perform their unique fusion of jazz, classical, and world music traditions.
